Executive Search & Senior Hires

We truly appreciate your expertise in helping us explore the market. Your deep experience in the legal field allowed us to connect with talent we likely would not have found otherwise. We look forward to staying in touch as our General Counsel joins the team and we begin working together. It has been a pleasure partnering with you.

Marsden, and Karen Glass in particular, came highly recommended by a former colleague. From the very first conversation to our chosen candidate accepting it could not have been a better process. It was clear from the get go that Marsden had a deep network of General Counsels and real insight into what it takes to be successful in an organisation like ours. We were really impressed by the long list, Karen worked with us to get to an excellent short list, supported us through the interview process and steered us through our chosen candidate accepting our offer. We could not have asked for better support.

I was really impressed from day one by Angela's commitment, enthusiasm and professionalism. The quality of the international candidates she presented was superior and further supported by the helpful personality profiles, and met exactly our requirements. Angela has excellent knowledge of the international legal market, is very well connected and she is reliable and easy to work with. We now have the right candidate on board, and I would have no hesitation in recommending or using Angela to find me a candidate if and when I want to recruit again.

Karen is an outstanding recruitment partner. She successfully led and filled our company’s CLO opening. Every candidate I spoke with said their experience working with her was exceptional. The time, energy and thoughtfulness as well as her deep knowledge and understanding of the skills required for the role made all the difference. I will use Karen for any legal searches in the future and highly recommend Karen and Marsden.

Marsden assisted us with the recruitment for a new Head of Legal role. They spent time with us understanding our requirements to properly scope out the role and identify potential candidates. Prior experience in the energy space was important for the role and Marsden presented a well-researched list of candidates. Their thorough interview approach with the short-listed candidates meant that we were able to focus in quickly and move from interviews to offer within a matter of weeks. A very polished process!

I highly recommend Angela as a business partner for managers looking to recruit lawyers and build a high-performing team - as well as for lawyers looking for a new opportunity. She always provided me with very solid advice and recommendations which has led to several top tier hires for our organisation. Angela has excellent knowledge of the legal market, is very well connected and takes the time to understand needs and expectations of clients in detail. Apart from that, she is also just a pleasure to work with.

Excellent service from the Marsden team on some of the most complicated global and senior searches we have attempted for our legal team which will act as a catalyst for fundamental change and for enhancing our legal team globally.

I have worked with Karen over a number of years, and the key skill she has as a recruiter is a desire and a capability to understand the brief and translate that into producing meaningful shortlists and advice on candidates. This is in my experience a skill that all recruiters and headhunters claim, but few can deliver on: Karen does so in spades. Besides that she is a pleasure to work with and endlessly enthusiastic, which is of course a huge bonus!

Karen listens to her clients very carefully and gains a solid understanding of what they are seeking to achieve. She then combines this with a deep knowledge of the legal market, and very careful assessments of potential candidates. She is also skilled at working with both sides to negotiate a package once the right candidate has been found. It is fair to say she is one of the best in the business that I have worked with in the past few decades.

Angela impressed me with her knowledge of the European legal industry and particularly Switzerland, where I was seeking to stay and find a new role. She maintained contact with me even whilst I was not looking for a new role. By doing this she kept up to date and informed of my career developments, skills and had a current understanding of what would suit me and what my plans were. I always appreciated her career advice and direction. This, for me, is the sign of a great recruiter who sees the big picture in the long term. I can’t speak highly enough of Angela's commitment and professionalism.
