Dave heads the US practice and is based in the Los Angeles office. He specialises in recruiting Partners and Associates across all major US markets with an emphasis in the Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Texas markets.
Dave is one of the most well-known international legal recruiters globally having placed hundreds of lawyers into the US, London, Australian, Canadian, Asian and Middle East markets. He has managed multiple exclusive international recruitment campaigns for AM Law 100, Global 100 and Magic Circle firms. He is widely regarded as a market leading recruiter for international lawyers relocating to the US. Dave is regularly asked to advise law firm executive and management teams, practice group Partners, and Recruitment Managers with regards global talent acquisition and hiring strategies. Prior to relocating to California, he was a Partner in Marsden’s Sydney office for seven years.
Dave is known for his pragmatic approach to recruitment and for fostering long-term relationships with the partners, lawyers and firms he works with. He has deep market knowledge of the US and International legal markets and regularly produces thought leadership articles and market commentary. He has presented at numerous legal industry careers events and panel discussions.
Before moving into recruitment, Dave began his career as a Labor and Employment lawyer with a Chambers Band 1 ranked employment team in the UK. He primarily advised global blue-chip corporations in the retail, infrastructure and energy sectors on a wide variety of employment issues.
