Angela has over 20 years’ experience partnering with multinational companies and law firms across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US, appointing General Counsel, leadership and critical team positions in legal, compliance, privacy, IP and legal operations. She’s worked across all sectors, with a particular focus on life sciences, technology, innovation, consumer, industrial, natural resources, professional and financial services.

She has a deep understanding of the key skills and qualities needed for in-house lawyers to excel in commercial environments.  As a Psychometric Practitioner, she’s qualified to assess leadership and business partner competencies in lawyers at all levels, to create high-performing diverse, inclusive and equitable teams for sustainable and lasting business success. She also advises on succession planning, optimised team structure and coaching for role-specific skills and competency development.

Angela practised as a commercial litigation lawyer for six years in London before moving into legal search in 1997. Prior to joining Marsden, she was an Executive Director at a leading global legal recruitment firm, worked for an executive search firm on a variety of C-suite level appointments and also at a boutique recruitment firm, focusing on private practice and in-house appointments internationally. She has been based in Switzerland since 2007, having previously worked in Hong Kong and Singapore for over a decade.
